Friday Favorite: Hunter Hunted

To say that Los Angeles indie/folk rock duo Hunter Hunted is off to a strong start would be an understatement. A Conan gig last month, a headliner at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, currently playing at SXSW in Austin, and an incredible debut EP are a few of their accomplishments since their inception in December, two months after the disbanding of members Michael Garner and Dan Chang’s previous band, Lady Danville.
Click here to check out Hunter Hunted’s self-titled debut EP. The five-track EP opens with Keep Together, an infectious track that has already received air time on Southern California’s leading NPR affiliate station, KCRW. Other tracks including Operating, a Lady Danville song with a new Hunter Hunted style to it; End of the World; Gentle Folks; and Dora Maar. This EP is definitely worth a purchase; you will without a doubt fall in love with their brilliant mix of beautiful harmonies and catchy beats.
EAST COAST: Hunted Hunted is headlining the Mercury Lounge in New York on April 1. Click here to view the event page and grab your tickets before they’re gone for only $10. This show is not one to miss!
WEST COAST: The duo is also playing a series of free (free!) shows this month in Los Angeles at the Bootleg Theater, presented by KROQ. Click here to view the event page and schedule. They’ve only got two more of these shows left, so clear your calendars to see them at the Bootleg Theater on March 18 or March 25.
